The Good Doctor leads the way on his bike. This was a pretty epic moment that seemed to sum up everything that I thought China would be.

I forget what her name is, and I forget what the fruit she forced on us was, but she is one of the members of Shokay's knitting cooperative, and the fruit was delicious.

This time of year, fields are burnt and left to reacquire nutrients for future planting. The limited amount of space on the island has forced its inhabitants to develop agricultural methods that surpass our post-industrial technologies.

Grain is left out to dry on peoples' front patios, its only for the pigs though, this is not suitable eating wheat.

For many on the island I was the first American (and maybe even the first westerner) they have seen. I myself had never seen a place or people like this outside of a National Geographic .  It's amazing how little we still know about the each other regardless of how much technology exists. Mass communication is for the masses, but what about the others?
